Try expressing your individuality with the these easy and inexpensive treatments:

* Display framed prints or small collectibles on a pretty wall shelf.
* Line an entire wall with mirrored cabinets to make the room appear larger and more open.
* Fill antique bowls or shaving mugs with potpourri, seashells or pretty soaps or bath salts.
* If you have the space, add a wicker chair or table.
* Add a splash of colour to wood cabinets or your tired vanity.  Try mixing and matching by using a lighter tone for the background, and applying a brighter colour to the drawer facings.

* A new shower curtain can make all the difference.  Cloth curtains are more expensive but add a truly classy touch.  Nylon/cotton blends are also pretty and durable.  Both types are available in a huge variety of colours and patterns to fit virtually every style.  A cheap plastic shower curtain is a definite no-no, and clear curtains are just plain tacky.
* If you choose a multi-coloured patterned curtain, make sure that you splurge on new towels and bathmats in complimentary colours.  Striped shower curtains can be paired with solid towels in coordinating colours.  Don't match patterns on everything, or your bathroom remodeling efforts will fall victim to pattern overload.
